Searches at four judges in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, Nov. 14 /MOLDPRES/- Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, jointly with the National Anticorruption Center announced that they are conducting searches in the offices, cars and homes of four judges. The actions take place after today the plenary session of the Superior Council of Magistracy admitted the four complaints by acting Prosecutor General, which requested the release of the agreement on criminal prosecution actions regarding some judges.
According to CNA, one of the judges is suspected of passive corruption and influence peddling. Therefore, the Council gave its consent for initiating criminal prosecutions, including forcible bringing, detention, arrest and search.
For two other judges, who are suspected of complicity in influence peddling, the CSM consent was issued for the same criminal prosecution actions. The last judge is suspected of active corruption.
"As a result, after the issuance of the CSM's agreement, the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, jointly with the National Anticorruption Center conducts searches in the offices, cars and homes of the judges," the CNA press release says.
The CSM members announced that the four judges are from the Chisinau Court and the Court of Appeal.
