Moldovan General Police Inspectorate registers 140 cases of infringements at today's ballot

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The General Police Inspectorate till 21:00 informed the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) about the registration of 140 cases of infringements or incidents at the general local elections.
According to CEC president Angelica Caraman, most of the notifications regarded the organized carriage of voters. The Commission received one of these notifications on organized transportation of voters in the Corjova settlement, Dubasari district.
“We have 45 cases notified of this kind in all; 27 cases deal with the photographing of the ballot paper. In one case, we were informed that the ballot paper was deteriorated, which is a contravention and an official report was compiled. Electoral agitation was recorded in 26 cases. Another five cases are examined in terms of reasonable suspicion of voters’ corrupting,’’ the CEC head said.
According to Caraman, in all cases, official examiners carry out activities of collecting and producing of evidence.
