Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- Police urged the organizers of the protest in the center of the capital and the farmers to respect the law on meetings, after many violations were found during the actions carried out on 22-23 November, including in road traffic. General Police Inspectorate (IGP) head Viorel Cernăuțeanu said at a press conference.
The IGP leadership said that the participants in the action, in addition to rights, also have obligations towards other citizens.
The police found that both the organizers and some of the participants neglected the prior declaration regarding the action. "Farmers were not documented for carrying out the protest, but for facts related to contraventions. This is about blocking access routes and other offences. At the same time, no one has the right to interfere with the state's assets procured from citizens' taxes. For this, a criminal case was initiated on behalf of the people who instigated these actions", stated Cernăuțeanu.
Several farmers came yesterday with tractors to the center of the capital to participate in protest.
