Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/ - All citizens who received vouchers for purchasing led lamps or household appliances will be able to benefit from them. Energy Minister Victor Parlicov has given assistances to this end.
The official today informed that the programme of vouchers was a pilot one and there were still a lot of lessons to be learned, as problems appear during the programme’s implementation. One of them regards the procedure of recycling old household appliances, provided by beneficiaries simultaneously with purchasing new equipment.
„All those who received vouchers will able to eventually benefit from them. Even if there are certain delays, there are no enough lamps somewhere; somewhere, the problem with the recycling of washing machines and fridges has not been solved as yet; these things will be gradually settled. Even if the voucher is not able to be turned to account now, the term will be extended and it will be able to be used later on. Everybody will be able to benefit from them,’’ Victor Parlicov said.
According to data provided by the ministry, 12,000 out of those about 50,000 vouchers for buying led lamps have been turned to good account so far.
The Used-Up Household Appliances Programme was launched in last mid-November and allows vulnerable families cutting their expenses in invoice through replacing the old household appliances by new and efficient equipment from the energy viewpoint. The first stage of the programme started with the session for led lamps, within which free of charge led lamps were provided to about 50,000 families registered on the platform www.compensatii.gov.md, who were assigned the quite high energy vulnerability category.
