Chisinau, 14 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- Teachers and students in technical vocational education will be able to use electronic registers and diaries instead of paper ones. To ensure the new facilities, the Education Management Information System (EMIS) will be modernized and expanded with two specialized modules.
The first of the two modules, the Electronic Register, will be used by teachers and will allow the management of data on student success, class attendance, monitoring qualifications offered by institutions etc. The second module, Electronic Diary, will enable automatic tracking of student attendance.
"We want to implement the electronic register in all technical vocational education institutions from September 1, 2024. An important aspect is the functionality and safety of the system, so that teachers can immediately abandon paper registers to avoid double work," state secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research Galina Rusu said.
EMIS is a tool for managing information about and for the national education system.
