Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) today informed that, under a decision by the Commission for the analysis of the problems invoked by the farmers, decision-makers made available information to creditors on 121 economic agents (according to data presented by associations), which have problems in fulfilling their payment obligations, according to the contracts with the bank, non-bank institutions and diverse providers.
„So far, three bank institutions and a provider of inputs have unveiled the solutions enforced. Most of them refer to the change of the initial conditions of payment, in order to make the rates easier to be managed by farmers,’’ MAIA said.
The ministry says that the Commission cannot intervene directly in the commercial relations between two enterprises. ‘’Yet, efforts are taken for us, through cooperation, to find solutions adapted to the profile and the needs of each farmer.’’
The next meeting of the Commission will take place on 12 January, to which creditors are invited to participate with preliminary reports. ‘’For reasons dealing with the confidentiality of the commercial data due to be discussed, mass media representatives will not be able to take part in the meeting. Press statements will be made following the meeting,’’ the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry added.
