Over 48 thousand citizens received additional financial aid during cold season

Chisinau, 23 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Over 48 thousand citizens eligible for additional support measures during the cold season have got financial aid.

The program sees one-off aid of 3,000 or 5,000 lei (about 250 euros) for the following categories: pensioners born before 1945, who have a pension of less than 3,000 lei; families who have children with severe disabilities under their care and supervision; families with disabled people included in the Personal Assistance social service; breastfeeding women with at least one child aged 0-13 months, beneficiaries of social assistance starting from October 2023.

The program was launched in December 2023 by the MMPS, in partnership with UN agencies.
