Stela Leucă resigned as state secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Chisinau, Feb. 6 /MOLDPRES/ - Stela Leucă announced today she is leaving the position of State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The official wrote on her official website that in the last two and a half years, while she held the post of state secretary for European integration, she had had "an incredible journey".

"MAEIE meant more than just a job for me, becoming a second home. I am proud to have been part of writing the history of our country! We all worked tirelessly to strengthen Moldova's strategic partnership with the US and EU member states, to get EU candidate country status, to prepare the first contribution to the enlargement report on behalf of the government, to organize the European Political Community Summit in Moldova, to obtain the EU Council's decision to open accession negotiations and for all other essential activities carried out for a better future of Moldova. All these successes that our team achieved in this period of time were unbelievable a few years ago, but we together proved that it is possible", Leucă said.

Stela Leucă was appointed as State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration on December 21, 2022.
