Data of financial statements of Moldovan companies to be accessible on online platform

Chisinau, Feb. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Data of the financial statements of Moldovan companies will be accessible on an online platform - depositar.statistica.md. Public depository of financial statements system is already operational and can be accessed free of charge by any interested person.
The public depository of financial statements represents an IT solution interconnected with all relevant external data sources, which automatically provides the data related to the financial statements reported by the legal entities of the Republic of Moldova in order to verify, validate and store them.
Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitization said today at the launch event of the depository that the new tool allows public access to companies' financial data, brings more transparency, simplifies the publication of data and contributes to the modernization of the reporting system in the Republic of Moldova .
Minister of Finance Petru Rotaru said that the launch of the depository is an important step in consolidating all types of financial reports in a single point, providing the opportunity for all interested parties to access this data on a single platform.
National Statistics Bureau director-general Oleg Cara said that the platform offers the possibility to access various information that was not available in one place so far.
The country manager of the International Finance Corporation, Galina Cicanci, said that the new information system is an alignment with the best practices of the EU and is a step forward in everything that means digitization and transparency. "Access to the information that is exposed in the depository will make economic relations more efficient, but also the work of some public institutions that hardly use the data from the entities' financial reports", Galina Cicanci said.
The public financial statement register was developed and implemented with the support of the International Finance Corporation and the Government of Sweden.
