Government approves road fund program of over 1.6 billion lei for maintenance and repair of national public roads

Chisinau, Feb. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Almost 6,000 km of national public roads are to be maintained and repaired this year. The government approved the Program on distribution of the means of the Road Fund for national public roads, the government's communication department has reported.

Out of 1.6 billion lei, almost 367 million lei will be earmarked for the current maintenance of national public roads in summer, and over 90 million lei - in winter period. Over 184 million lei will be spent on periodic maintenance works and services, almost 59 million lei - works to road and bridge repairs, and over 737 million lei for capital repairs of roads and bridges.

At the same time, the financial means will be distributed for the elaboration and adaptation of normative documents, the execution of design works and cadastral works, the evaluation of roads, bridges and the procurement of land.
