Governor of National Bank of Moldova on visit to Bucharest

Chisinau, April 9 /MOLDPRES/- Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) Anca Dragu is on a working visit to Bucharest to hold talks with representatives of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the National Bank of Romania (BNR). The visit is aimed at promoting the interconnection of the capital markets of the Republic of Moldova and Romania and deepening the supervisory mechanisms and intervention instruments.
On 9 April Dragu will hold meetings at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, to discuss stock exchange trading models, interaction between market operators and the supervisory authority, the role of the central depository. Another meeting will take place at the Financial Supervisory Authority and will focus on the supervision of equity transactions, reporting to the supervisor and intervention measures.
Dragu will hold talks with representatives of the National Bank of Bucharest on 10 April.
Promoting the interconnection of the Moldovan and Romanian capital markets was also discussed recently at the Moldova-Romania: Capital Bridges Forum in Bucharest. The visit is a continuation of the efforts to boost the development of the capital market in the Republic of Moldova.
