Bulgaria Grants Funds to Moldovan Organizations for Projects to Combat Disinformation

Three projects in Moldova were approved by the Bulgarian Council of Ministers under the Programme for Support of Bulgarian Communities, Organizations and Initiatives of Bulgarians Abroad in 2024. The programme is focused on maintaining sustainable relations with Bulgarian citizens and Bulgarian communities abroad and supporting them, structures, organizations and media in dealing with information and communication challenges and in creating an improved environment and sustainability for their development, BTA informs.
A few days ago, in the Bulgarian embassy in Chisinau, the relevant agreements were signed between representatives of the non-governmental organizations and Bulgarian Ambassador Maya Dobreva.
One of the projects is titled "Intellectual Childhood: the trend of the modern world" by the non-governmental organization Aici si Acum (Here and now) and is worth BGN 7,781.
The head of the NGO Nina Topalova said that the project will be implemented from July 1 to November 31, 2024. It includes activities to create a computer literacy course for children 7-10 years old, learning tools that facilitate learning at school (creation and design of reports, presentations, diagrams) and others.
The second project, titled "United against Disinformation", by the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova, is worth BGN 10,000.
Another project, titled "Supporting the youth of the Bulgarian community in the Taraclia region in the fight against misinformation and fake news" by the non-governmental organization Bulgarian Municipality of the City of Taraclia was awarded BGN 10,000.
