Moldovan government launches new Telegram channel in Russian,„Правительство на русском”, to provide citizens with verified information on behalf of governmental public authorities

Chisinau, 5 June /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet today informed about the launch of a new telegram channel in Russian, Правительство на русском (The Government in Russian). The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, said that the goal of this new channel was to provide citizens with verified information on behalf of all governmental public authorities.      

„This initiative comes as a response to the large number of misinformation spread on anonymous channels on this social network. Thus, the government is set to communicate targetedly and the goal of this new channel is to provide verified information to citizens on behalf of all governmental public authorities,’’ Daniel Voda noted.    

Users will be able to access news about the most important activities of the government and to be informed about the messages of public interest.  

„Правительство на русском” means better transparency and ensuring the access of all citizens to correct and relevant information,’’ the spokesman for the government stressed.
