MOLDOVAN GOVERNMENT BUILDS: new water-putifying station from Glodeni to ease living of about 9,000 local residents

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The reception at the finishing of the works of construction and assembly of the new residual water-purifying station has started in Glodeni. The new station for purifying the waters from the Glodeni town will give access to the providing of purification service for 8,600 residents of the town, the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord) said.
The works of construction and assembly of the new water-purifying station in the Glodeni town, as well as the works of construction and assembly of 3 km of gravity sewer networks, 1.7 km of sewerage networks under pressure and the renovation of a residual waters’ pumping station were carried out within a regional development project implemented by ADR Nord and financed from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).
„In the end of the last week, the reception at the finishing of the works within the project was started. Representatives of ADR Nord, of central and local authorities in charge of the construction and assembly of the aqueduct system and specialists in the field assembled at a meeting at the headquarters of the Glodeni District Council. The participants brought for discussion the quality and volume of the works carried out within the project,’’ sources from ADR Nord told MOLDPRES.
According to the sources, the residual waters’ purifying station from the Glodeni town is made up of four modern reactors, with overall flow of 240 cubic metres/day. The construction and assembly works were carried out on the period September 2022 – May 2024.
The total value of the project, Modern sanitary systems for citizens of Glodeni district, is of 18.56 million lei, of which 16.71 million lei (over 835,000 euros) is allocated from FNDRL sources. The local contribution is of 1.85 million lei, which accounts for 10 per cent of the project’s overall value.
The project was submitted by the Glodeni District Council within the Call of selecting regional development projects for the period 2021-2023.
