Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - More segments of local road have been mired in southern Moldova in the wake of the heavy rainfall from the last night. Rescuers and firemen came on the spot to liquidate the consequences of the bad weather.

In the Alexeevca village, Cahul district, a coach on the route Chisinau-Giurlgiulesti  remained blocked on the road because of the accumulation of mud from field. Rescuers managed to de-block the coach and ensure the continuation of the travel for passengers.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), in the wake of the heavy rains, five households from the Valeni settlement, Cahul district, asked for the intervention of teams of rescuers and firemen for pumping the water accumulated. In the last 24 hours, IGSU employees have intervened in 33 risky situations.
