Chisinau, July 4/ MOLDPRES/- In a few weeks we will start the so-called screening, where we will compare the Moldovan and European legislation and what changes we need to make in order to adjust it to the new rules. I want to mention that we are making these changes not for the European Union, but because these changes will create a favorable business and social environment, to create favorable conditions for our citizens here at home, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said at a TV show on Wednesday evening.
The official said that the Republic of Moldova, like Romania and other countries that have joined the European Union, will benefit from pre-accession funds in order to strengthen the assimilation and investment capacity. These results will be felt in villages, cities, schools, kindergartens and hospitals, as well as in the business environment.
Recean said that all EU countries agree on one important thing - that the EU enlargement project will make the European community stronger, safer and more united. "It is the European Commission that manages the negotiation process and we have the necessary support there,"he said.
The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine started EU accession negotiations on June 25. They were officially launched at an intergovernmental conference in Luxembourg.
"The European integration plan of the Republic of Moldova is an ambitious but realistic one, with very clear indicators for each negotiating chapter, which will bring direct benefits to every person in our country", he said.
