Equal access for women and men to goods, services

Chisinau, July 4 /MOLDPRES/- National legislation on equal access for women and men to goods and services will be harmonized with the European Union legislation. A draft law was passed today in the first reading by Parliament.

The document implies extending the principle of equality beyond the sphere of the labor market and working life to other areas.

The adoption and implementation of the draft law will result in the exclusion of direct or indirect discrimination between women and men in terms of prices, conditions of sale, access to products or services, including in areas such as insurance, financial services, real estate or health.

Men and women will also benefit from the same conditions and prices for products and services and consumers will be protected from gender discrimination.
