Environment Ministry launches Donate for greener future! campaign

Chisinau, July 5 /MOLDPRES/- Donate for a greener future! is the slogan of a campaign launched today by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with a restaurant network. It involves raising funds to give everyone the chance to plant a tree. In all the restaurants, people will have the opportunity to donate to plant trees in Moldova.

Donations can be made in McDonald's restaurants.

The Ministry of Environment encourages other economic operators to join the campaign and together let's make Moldova a greener and cleaner country.

Over the next ten years, the forested areas in the Republic of Moldova will be expanded by about 150 thousand ha, both on new and heavily degraded forest land, both publicly owned and for the first time, on privately owned land. The provisions are included in the National Afforestation Program 2023-2032, initiated by President Maia Sandu.
