The IGSU forest firefighting ground firefighting teams are trained in the execution of specific emergency monitoring missions on the territory of Greece within the Operational Center, and depending on the dynamics of the situations on the ground, they will intervene to supplement the teams with technical equipment and manpower.

The rotation will take place on July 29, 2024, and another 20 Moldovan firefighters will be deployed in the Nea-Makri region with two technical units.

The programme is organized under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.
