Moldova's Border Police make specifications on corpse of young Ukrainian man detected at Moldovan-Ukrainian border

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Border Police have made specifications on the corpse of a Ukrainian 27-year-old young man detected at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.
According to the institution, on 13 July 2024, the head of the Ocnita Border Police Station called the 112 service following information received from a fellow countryman who was carrying out agricultural works in the Clocusna-Sokireani area. Investigations made on the spot showed that the corpse of a man under putrefaction, because of high air temperatures, was found at a distance of about 300 metres from the line of border with Ukraine, on a wheat field.
„The dead person proved to be a Ukrainian citizen aged 27 years. Preliminary investigations showed that the person had no traces of violent death or signs of shooting, just as some mass media sources say. Also, a forensic examination was instructed, in order to accurately establish the reason for the death,’’ the institution informed.
At the same time, following a verification of the Information System of the Border Police, decision-makers found out that the concerned person had not had legal entrance in Moldova.
Presently, the investigations on this case continue.
