Moldovan parliament takes note of resignation of MP

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today took note of the resignation of the MP of the faction of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Marian Lucreteanu. Sixty seven lawmakers voted for the draft law to this effect.

Mariana Lucreteanu submitted the application on resignation starting from 10 August 2024, after she had been appointed as state secretary at the Interior Ministry. Respectively, one MP mandate belonging to PAS Political Party was declared vacant.

The decision enters into force on the date of its adoption. Under the law on the status of lawmaker, the vacant mandate will be assigned to the immediately next alternate candidate on the list of the electoral contender.
