Gas purchase price falls in August

Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovagaz announced today that the purchase price of natural gas from Energocom for August will be 347.18 euros per thousand cubic meters, down by about 19 euros compared to July, when the price was 366.34 euros.

"According to the contractual terms of purchase of natural gas between Moldovagaz and Energocom, in August 2024, the purchase price will be 32.63 euros/MWh, equivalent to 347.18 euros for a thousand cubic meters, or 6659.15 lei for a thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT), based on the forecast higher calorific value of 10.64 kWh per cubic meter, and the respective exchange rate," Moldovagaz said.

The price was announced today after Energocom won the tender for gas supply for the current month, initiated by Moldovagaz on the electronic trading platform managed by BRM East Energy.

For July, the purchase price of natural gas from Energocom was 366.34 euros, for June - 349.79 euros per thousand cubic meters, and for May - 331.22 euros.

Since May this year, tenders for the purchase of natural gas are conducted on the BRM East Energy platform.
