European Village: House of Culture in Holoșnita, Soroca district modernized

Chisinau, Aug 1 /MOLDPRES/- House of culture in the village of Holoșnita, Soroca district, which is more than four decades old, was modernized under the European Village program. The investment amounts to two million lei. After the renovation, the institution hosts all important events for the community with a population of more than 1,200 inhabitants, around 170 of whom are children.

The building had not even been repaired in the last 30 years, and as a result it was in a deplorable condition and could no longer host the cultural and artistic events expected by the people of the village.

Mayor of the village Rodion Pădure says that the project was necessary for the community, as previously the villagers did not have a suitable space for public gatherings and cultural events.

The total value of the project in Holoșnita is about two million lei, money allocated by the Moldovan Government through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

The first edition of the National Program European Village includes 493 local development projects.
