Customs Service collected over 818 million lei to budget last week

Chisinau, Aug 5 /MOLDPRES/- Last week, the Customs Service collected more than 818 million lei to the state budget, which is 109.8% for the period.

Thus, on July 29 - August 4, 2024, private people entered goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, and payments of over 18.58 million lei were collected, which represents 2.27% of the total amount collected for the period.

12,278 customs declarations were processed during the past week, while the flow of means of transport amounted to 95,601 crossings. Leuseni and Sculeni remain the busiest customs posts with 23,798 and 17,752 crossings respectively.

The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.

Since the beginning of the year, the Customs Service has collected about 21.47 billion lei to the state budget, which is 108.4%.
