People access to be limited on several streets of Moldovan capital on 21 August

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall has informed that the access of people to certain public places from the Moldovan capital would be limited on 21 August 2024. The measure is taken by the police, in the context of the official visit by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
According to the quoted source, during 08:00-21:00, the access of people will be limited to certain public places from Chisinau, from the city’s centre and the thoroughfares making connection with the Chisinau International Airport, including the holding of mass manifestations, works of repair of roads/power/thermal/aqueduct/sewerage networks and cutting trees, in the perimeter of the streets where the official column will move.
Drivers are urged to comply with the requirements of the policemen, to prove patience and discipline, without infringements of the road traffic regulation.
On 21 August, President Maia Sandu will have a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The head of state will meet the German federal chancellor at the Presidency’s headquarters at 17:05 and at the two leaders will hold a joint news conference at 18:10.
