Moldovan electoral body registered six more initiative groups to support candidates for president

Chisinau, Aug 22 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission (CEC) received today documents for the registration of six more initiative groups in support of candidates for President of the Republic of Moldova.

According to the CEC, today the citizens' initiative group in support of candidate Tudor Ulianovschi; the initiative group formed by Our Party in support of candidate Renato Usatii; the citizens' initiative group in support of candidate Irina Vlah; the initiative group formed by the Coalition for Unity and Well-Being in support of candidate Igor Munteanu; the initiative group formed by the Action and Solidarity Party in support of candidate Maia Sandu; the citizens' initiative group in support of candidate Ludmila Corsun.

The Central Electoral Commission, within three days of receiving the documents, will examine their correctness and will decide on the registration or refusal to register the initiative groups.

Yesterday, five more initiative groups submitted their documents to the CEC. The period for submission of applications for registration of initiative groups in support of candidates for President of the Republic of Moldova and participants in the constitutional republican referendum started on August 21.
