Moldovan electoral body registers initiative group for collecting signatures for backing candidate for presidential elections

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a 27 August meeting, registered an initiative group for the collection of signatures to back a candidate for the office of Moldova’s president, Natalia Morari, nominated by a group of citizens.   

In the context, CEC confirmed the head of the initiative group and the person in charge of the finances (treasurer).

The period of submitting the documents for the registration of the initiative groups for the support of candidate for the office of Moldova’s president will end on 31 August 2024.
