Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service has a new head. Alexandru Iacub was been appointed to this position, who has acted so far as secretary general of the Labour and Social Protection Ministry. The government took a decision to this effect today.
The proposal was made by Finance Minister Victoria Belous at the cabinet meeting. ‘’The task of Mr. Iacub is to optimize and improve the interaction of the Customs Service with the business environment, remove the corruption factors, improve the conditions of work of the employees and digitalize the operational processes of the Customs Service,’’ Victoria Belous said.

The position of director of the Customs Service remained vacant in early last April, after the former head, Igor Talmazan, had resigned from office. Presently, Viorel Doaga acts as director of this institution.
Also today, the government accepted the application on resignation of Alexandru Budeci from the office of state secretary of the Culture Ministry.
