Moldovan parliament building illuminated in colours of national flag, in context of 33rd anniversary of Moldova's Independence

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan parliament building has been festively illuminated in the colours of the national flag on the occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day.
The country’s top leadership, European leaders and the presidents of the Baltic Countries on 27 August came up with congratulatory messages for the Moldovans and almost 40,000 citizens participated in the festive events organized on the Great National Assembly Square.
The Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova was adopted by the then parliament on 27 August 1991 and was signed by 278 MPs.
