Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ - The fuels today register record decreases in prices for this year, after two months of cheapenings. The diesel records a new minimal price of 19.83 lei/litre, similar to the one from June 2023 and January 2022.
According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), the price for petrol also registered a constant decrease on the last period and the petrol cheapened by 1.90 lei/litre during those eight weeks of consecutive depreciations.
According to the quoted source, the current prices for fuels are prompted by the ever lower level of the Platts quotations, which are about 750 dollars/ton for petrol and 700 dollars/ton for diesel, as well as by the more pronounced appreciation of the Moldovan leu against the U.S. dollar.
Thus, for the next three days, ANRE set the maximal retail selling prices of the standard-type oil products at: 23.39 lei/litre for petrol (-0.11 lei) and 19.83 lei/litre for standard diesel (-0.05 lei).
