Moldovan parliament to hold first plenary meeting of 2024 autumn session on 13 September

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament will hold its first plenary meeting of the 2024 autumn session on 13 September. The parliament’s standing bureau approved the meeting’s agenda today.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the lawmakers are to vote a string of measures of support of farmers, given the last summer drought.
The legislative body will also ratify an amendment to the Agreement on financing with the International Development Association (IDA) on the support of the higher education. The agenda also comprises a draft on amendment of the Education Code, in order to integrate the artistic education in the general education system.
The MPs will consider also a draft on amendment of the parliament decision on the creation of the special commission for the identification of the measures on the overcoming of the crisis in the agricultural sector, a draft on the declaring of the vacancy of an MP mandate and a draft on the import of transport means.
The plenary meeting will start at 15:00.
