Deputy Prime Minister discussed with counterpart from Saudi Arabia increasing exports and drawing investment

Chisinau, Sep 27 /MOLDPRES/- Increasing the volume of Moldovan exports and attracting Saudi investments in Moldova were the topics discussed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi and Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in New York.

The talks focused on ways to develop bilateral relations between Moldova and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the two officials emphasized the need to expand the legal framework in areas of common interest, especially on the economic dimension, which would contribute to the increase and diversification of Moldovan-Saudi trade and economic exchanges.

They also discussed the situation in the region and initiatives to ensure sustainable peace.

At the end of the meeting, Mihai Popșoi invited Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to visit the Republic of Moldova.

Popșoi is attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on 23-27 September. The official will hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from various regions of the world, heads of UN specialized entities, regional organizations and representatives of international non-governmental organizations.
