The young men said they were members of a group of 20 young people, ‘’lured to vandalize the state’s institutions from Moldova, on purpose of destabilization.’’ According to them, they were paid 5,000 euros for the government building alone. One of the young men said that ‘’he was also in charge of identifying young people for their subsequent training in Moscow, where they should be informed about the actions due to be organized in Moldova, being monthly paid with 500 euros each.’’
„All 20 people left for Moscow, by a flight with stopover in Istanbul, where they were met by Russia’s citizens and accommodated in a hotel and on the day after, they went to a shooting range outside Moscow and were trained how to create protests in Chisinau, destabilizations within them, the guard of the instigating person, etc. Also there, they received money and phones with which they were communicating,’’ the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) said.
These people subsequently returned to Moldova where, according to the police, they bought paint, gloves, sneakers and bags. After the carrying out of the vandalism actions, the video material with the young people’s actions was to be placed on Telegram as proof of the mission’s fulfillment.
