Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today paid a visit to the bridge at the entrance into the Pelinia village, northern Drochia district, inaugurated on 27 September 2024. The bridge ensures access to the settlements Pelinia, Drochia, Donduseni and Soroca, the government’s communication department has reported.
The project, financed from the Road Fund, had an overall value of over 23 million lei. The works started in March 2024 and lasted 6 months and were finished three months before the term established. This is the first capital repair of the bridge since 1970s.
The PM stressed the importance of the project, noting that such investments contributed to the sustainable development of the road infrastructure from Moldova.
„Besides the fact that this project facilitates the access to the settlements from the region, the region’s economic development is also ensured. We want such projects to be something normal, enjoy other achievements as well,’’ the prime minister also said.
Works worth about 24 million lei were carried out in the Drochia district for the repair and maintenance of national public roads from means of the Road Fund in 2023.
