Parties to submit financial management reports by July 15

Chisinau, July 11. /MOLDPRES/- The deadline for presenting reports on the financial management of political parties for the first semester of the current year is July 15. At the same time, today the Regulation on financing the activity of political parties was published in the Official Journal.

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the new provisions establish that the report is presented in electronic form, through the SSI "Financial Control". It will be signed by the leader and treasurer of the political party.

"Both bear responsibility for the correctness of the data and information presented, as well as for their non-presentation. If the report on financial management is signed by the person who provides the interim position of the head of the political party, he presents the confirmation of the Public Services Agency", a press release of the CEC reads.

"The non-presentation or late presentation by political parties of the financial management report within the term and format established by law, including the presentation of incomplete data, constitutes a violation of the legal provisions and is liable to liability according to the legislation," states the CEC.

Currently, 59 political formations are registered with the Public Services Agency.
