Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration visits Balti

Chisinau, May 20 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov went to Balti on 19 May, where she celebrated Europe Day together with hundreds of residents of the city. Attending the event were Deputy Speaker Doina Gherman, Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks and ambassadors of EU member countries, the government's communication department has reported.
"I enjoyed meeting beautiful and curious people, connecting with the spirit of Europe and discussing the benefits of EU membership for every citizen and every locality in our country. European integration is the project of our generation, which can and should unite us", said Cristina Gherasimov.
In discussions with citizens, she said that a peaceful and free future, together with the chance for development and progress, is what all citizens of the country want - entrepreneurs or employees, students or pensioners, Moldovans, Ukrainians, Russians, Gagauz or Bulgarians.
Cristina Gherasimov congratulated the people of Balti for the event and thanked all those who came to celebrate the diversity and beauty of the European project and to say, once again, a firm YES for European Moldova, the country we and future generations want to live in.
