President announces three national goals included in Plan for Moldova

Chisinau, 24 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party in the presidential elections Maia Sandu announced three national goals included in the Plan for Moldova. She said "the first commitment is caring for people", which guided her actions throughout her mandate. The commitment includes increasing the salaries and pensions that citizens benefit from.
Maia Sandu noted that as president, she will insist on carrying out more actions for people to live better. "Minimum salary of 10,000 lei and average salary of 25,000 lei per month by 2030. Minimum pension of 3,300 lei for a long career, starting in 2025, for retirees with at least 40 years of work experience. Free food for primary and secondary school students," said Maia Sandu.
"Another commitment aims at offering an addition of 3,000 lei per month, for 1 year, to every young man or woman who takes up their first job in strategic fields for the national economy," said Maia Sandu.
The electoral campaign for the presidential elections and the constitutional republican referendum on October 20 is being held in Moldova.
So far, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has registered eight candidates in the presidential race. It is about Alexandr Stoianoglo, nominated by the Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party, Renato Usatîi, nominated by Our Party, Vasile Tarlev, Party for the Future of Moldova. Other registered candidates are Ion Chicu, nominated by the Moldovan Development and Consolidation Party and Irina Vlah, nominated by a group of citizens. They are followed by Andrei Năstase, nominated by a group of citizens and Octavian Țîcu - TOGETHER electoral bloc.
Candidates registered by the CEC can run the electoral campaign. Four other cases are under review.
In total, 12 candidates could compete for the position of head of state. The elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova will be held on October 20, 2024. On the same day, the republican constitutional referendum will also be held. Citizens will answer the question "Do you agree with the amendment of the Constitution for Moldova's accession to the European Union?".
