List of 20 Moldovans declared undesirable in Russia, of whom 18 MPs of Action and Solidarity Party

Chisinau, 18 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 18 MPs of the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), the deputy director of the Border Police, Oleg Bucataru, and the director of the Independent Press Association, Petru Macovei, are included in the list of people who are banned from entering the territory of Russia.      

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press service of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) confirmed that lawmakers Mihai Popsoi, Radu Marian, Veronica Rosca, Andrian Cheptonar, Ion Spac, Eugenia Cojocari, Ersilia Qatrawi, Mihail Druta, Maria Pancu, Artemie Catanoi, Igor Chiriac, Ion Groza, Vasile Gradinaru, Sergiu Lazarencu, Vitalie Jacot, Ion Babici, Doina Gherman, Gheorghe Cojoc are included in the list of people who are banned from entering Russia.         

Moldova’s Ambassador to Russia Lilian Darii today was summoned at the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry and was informed about Russia’s decision to ban some Moldovan officials from entering the country, as a measure of response to the cutting of the number of employees of Russia’s Embassy in Chisinau.  

Ulterior, MAEIE came up with a reaction, thereby describing as regrettable Russia’s decision to put a ban on the entrance of some officials.
