Moldovan fruits appreciated at international exhibition in Spain

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldova Fruct Association, along with a group of 12 producers and exporters of fruits, participates, with the support of the Investments Agency, Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity (RCRA) in Moldova project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Western NIS Entreprise Fund, in the Fruit Attraction international exhibition, staged in Madrid, Spain, on 3-5 October.   

The 15th issue of Fruit Attraction brought together more than 90,000 potential buyers from 135 countries, which are looking for the most advantageous supplies of fruits and vegetables, as well as the most recent tendencies in industry, in order to capitalize their businesses.

„Traders of fruits of Spain, Sweden, Middle East, France and the United Kingdom were interested in establishing contacts with producers from Moldova for subsequent deliveries of sweet cherries, plums, grapes and apples. The basic requirements on behalf of buyers are the observance of the specifications of quality and packing. The presence of our producers and exporters of fruits at this event at the common stand, Moldova – a special taste, is extremely important, taking into account the fact that we are in the beginning of the export of apples and grapes,’’ Moldova Fruct says.       

According to the quoted source, the participation, during years, in international exhibitions significantly contributed to the development and modernization of the fruits sector of Moldova, to establishing valuable partnerships, to the enhancement of the degree of recognition of Moldovan fruits, to reducing the dependence on a single market, as well as to the significant increase in exports on the EU markets, South Eastern Asia and Middle East. ‘’Presently, the Moldovan fruits are well-known and appreciated by the biggest importers, distributors and networks of shops both from Europe and on the Asian market,’’ Moldova Fruct said.
