General local elections: Over 725,000 citizens cast ballots by 2 p.m.

Chisinau, Nov. 5 /MOLDPRES/- By 2:00 p.m., over 725,000 citizens have cast ballots in the general local elections, which is about 26%.
According to the Central Electoral Commission data, the most active voters are people aged between 56 and 65 (25.36%). The most passive are young people aged 18-25, whose turnout is 4.86%.
Citizens eligible to vote in Moldova today elect mayors and councilors in the general local elections. The 1,958 polling stations were opened at 07:00. The voting procedure will end at 21:00. 2,758,810 voters are expected at the polls.
