World Diabetes Day marked in Moldova

Chisinau, Nov. 14 /MOLDPRES/- In 2022, more than 131 thousand Moldovans had diabetes, of which 19,367 patients are dependent on insulin. The Ministry of Health made public the data on World Diabetes Day.
In Moldova insured people with diabetes benefit from free medical assistance in public medical and sanitary institutions.
Patients with diabetes have free access to 14 international names of medicines in various pharmaceutical forms and dosages, including insulin analogues and medicines to prevent complications. At the same time, these people benefit from a series of medical devices compensated from the mandatory health care insurance funds.
