Several judges likely to be detained, searched

Chisinau, Nov. 14 /MOLDPRES/- Superior Council of Magistrates (CSM) today convened in an extraordinary meeting and admitted acting prosecutor general Ion Munteanu's complaints on the agreement for carrying out criminal prosecution actions regarding some judges.

According to the CSM members, the four magistrates targeted in the complaints will be suspended from office until the final decisions on the cases are adopted. The CSM decision will be brought to the attention of the magistrates and the Prosecutor's Office.

The CSM issued the consent for carrying out criminal prosecution, subjugation, forcible bringing, detention, arrest and search regarding some magistrates following the reasonable suspicion on several offences.

The magistrates' names have not been announced so far.
