Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration sworn in today

Chisinau, Feb. 5 /MOLDPRES/- Cristina Gherasimov, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and coordinator of the activities of the European Integration Office, within the State Chancellery, was sworn in office before President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the government's communication department has reported.
Recean said that the professional experience of the new member of the Cabinet of Ministers will contribute to the efficient organization of the processes and will speed up carrying out the country's European agenda. "Our priority is to build Europe at home, and Moldova's integration into the European Union is the most important goal we have to achieve," said Recean.
According to the prime minister, the joint effort is to be applied both to the negotiations with the European side and the adjustment of the processes inside the country: "We will benefit from the expertise of our foreign partners, we will involve civil society and business environment. I am confident that together we will find a formula that will help us have a balanced integration process".
Cristina Gherasimov spoke about the next steps and key goals of the country: "It is a new stage for the Republic of Moldova, from the moment we have the official decision to launch negotiations. I thank you for the involvement you have shown so far and I urge you to continue the work to bring our country into the European Union".
