Chisinau, Feb. 6 /MOLDPRES/- The relationship between banks and the business environment must be more dynamic. Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) Anca Dragu made the statement at the Moldovan-Romanian business forum, organized in Chisinau by the American Chambers of Commerce (AmCham) from the two countries.

According to her, banks and companies must look in each other's direction, but with priority on ensuring financial stability. "Financial intermediation is very low in Moldova. Non-governmental credit is about 20% of GDP, while at the EU level, non-governmental credit is almost 90%, on average. This means that billions of euros do not reach the national economy", said Dragu.
The forum was attended by representatives from the public, private and associative business sectors, the local business community, development partners, the academic environment.
