Moldovan president meets PACE co-rapporteurs

Chisinau, Feb. 6 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met today with co-rapporteurs for the Republic of Moldova within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
According to the presidential press service, the discussion focused on the reform agenda and the authorities' efforts to strengthen state institutions, in the difficult regional context, as well as our country's commitments in promoting the rule of law.
The head of state emphasized the authorities' determination to carry out justice reform and combat corruption, which represents a real danger to the country's security.
Maia Sandu said that Moldova's authorities are fully committed to making decisive progress in joining the European Union. The support of the Council of Europe for strengthening democratic institutions in our country helps Moldova reach its goals faster.
