Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Romanian PM

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Mihai Popsoi, on a working visit to Bucharest, has had a meeting with Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu, the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s (MAE) press service reported.
The Moldovan official informed the Romanian PM that Moldova appreciated Romania’s support in the launch of the negotiations on accession to the European Union and that the country further relied on Romania’s expertise.
„We discussed also the progress made by Moldova in the implementation of the European Commission’s recommendations.
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said that Romania would provide the support needed in the advanced of the reforms necessary for joining EU. He also reaffirmed the openness for a consolidated cooperation.
I thanked the Romanian prime minister for the financial assistance provided to our country during time for programmes meant to improve the access to better services of water and sewerage, for schools’ endowment with laboratories of physics, chemistry and biology, as well as for the procurement of school mini-buses and buses, etc. We also reviewed the actions necessary for easing the cross-border traffic.’’ Minister Popsoi said.
