European Commission to provide Moldova with 31 million euros

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration today approved the evaluation notice for the negotiation and signing of the Agreement on financing between Moldova’s government and the European Commission on the Programme, EU4 Moldova Integration and Stability. As a result, Moldova will receive a financial assistance worth 31 million euros.
The programme will back the resilience and the priority reforms in Moldova, in line with the Association Agenda 2021-2027 and the process of the country’s accession to the European Union. Thus, 10 million euros is meant for improving the national capacities as regards the security threats and the migration’s challenges.
Another 10 million euros is meant for the agricultural sector and 11 million euros will be turned to good account, in the context of the reforms in the fields of management of public money, justice, competition, labour, energy efficiency, etc.
The assistance will be provided through more instruments – counseling, analysis, training, equipment, expertise and grants. The agreement will have an implementation term of 72 months.
