Chisinau, Feb. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) Vladimir Bolea had a meeting with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova Almat Aidarbekov yesterday. Kazakhstan is interested in cooperating with our country to study best practices in the irrigation systems.
The officials approached several issues on development of economic relations, focusing on increasing commercial exchanges in the agri-food sector.
"Among the central issues was the planning of a meeting of the Moldovan-Kazakh intergovernmental commission to boost the dialogue and cooperation in various fields", MAIA said.
The Republic of Moldova will conclude a new collaboration treaty with the Republic of Kazakhstan. The advisory opinion for the initiation of negotiations was approved on February 5 by the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and European integration. The treaty will stipulate the priority directions of bilateral collaboration between Moldova and Kazakhstan, including in the commercial-economic and investment sectors. It sees consultations, including at a high level, on current topics on the bilateral and international agenda.
