Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will further benefit from the European Air Traffic Management (ATM) Voluntary Solidarity Fund. The members of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration approved the notice on the negotiation and signing the extension of the duration of the Agreement between Moldova and the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL).
The money is meant for the staff costs, costs related to the professional training or any other costs dealing with the operational preparation for the resumption of the air traffic. This occurs in the context that, because of the war in Ukraine, the MoldATSA state enterprise needs additional financial means, in order to carry out its activity in accordance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization and EUROCONTROL.
The multilateral Agreement between Moldova and the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation on the implementation of the European ATM Voluntary Solidarity Fund was signed in 2023.
