Moldovan president, political parties' representatives discuss referendum on Moldova's accession to EU

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - A new round of public consultations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union took place at the Presidency’s headquarters today.
According to the presidential press service, representatives of 14 political parties participated in the discussions, who showed their support for Moldova’s accession to the European Union. The parties’ representatives discussed the questions they had to the process of organization of the referendum and pointed out certain risks. The participants appreciated the organization of such discussions and are open for a continuous dialogue, which would ensure the cohesion in the society for Moldova’s future.
President Maia Sandu noted that it was important that all political actors from Moldova have a correct political dialogue with the citizens, not misinform the public opinion and observe the citizens’ will. The head of state urged all parties to support and promote Moldova’s accession to EU.
The consultations will take place in the next weeks too. The referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union will be organized till the end of this year.
